Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I am a retired USAF Medic with over 22 years active duty and over 30 years as a Nationally Registered EMT. After 14 years of living in Melbourne, Florida and working fulltime in my second career as a Cardiology Technician at a local VA clinic, I am currently retired and living in Rock Hill, South Carolina
My hobbies include comic book & fantasy art drawing, Guitar, scrapbooking, PS3 and computer gaming, and of course photography!
My primary photographic interests are in nature photography with some sports and travel shots when the opportunity presents itself.
My main nature interests are birds (raptors primarily) and big cats, including my four house cats whom I don't have the heart to tell they really aren't BIG cats!
When it comes to choosing my photography subjects, I prefer wildlife over people, and often shoot in nature preserves and on various nature trails near my home, but I also take advantage of several nature parks and local zoos and travel throughout the southeastern states to practice my photographic techniques whenever the opportunity presents itself.

A nature photographer buddy of mine heard a rumor that an Arctic Snowy Owl had been seen hanging around the sand dunes at Little Talbot Island State Park near Jacksonville, Florida...which is a VERY rare sight here in Florida to say the least, so naturally when he invited me along, I had to take the 3 hour road trip from Melbourne to Jacksonville to check this out!
On the road at 5am on saturday, 4 January with two fellow nature photographer friends of mine William Kleinfelder and Ron Bielefeld, we arrived at the State park just before 8am and found the rumors to be TRUE as we found the young Snowy Owl...she kept her distance and only flew o
